My Business and Personal Goals

I read an interesting article from James Clear on “Forget about Setting Goals. Focus On This Instead.”. It makes sense what he says about that you should focus on the small changes of habits you can make today, rather than setting a goal with a deadline. If you don’t reach your goal by the time you’ve set for yourself, you’ll feel like a failure and maybe even give up. But if you do the way he suggest you’re more likely to achieve your goal over time, rather than not making it at all.

 

That being said, it still important to have sense of direction and know what you want to achieve, but perhaps not so focused on when you want to achieve them.

Goals for 2015

Relaunch my book

I’m going to relaunch my book with some new content, add extra downloadable content for early-birds, raise the price and get out of the KDP Select program on Amazon, so I can sell from my website. That way I have the possibility to follow up those who buys my book. I’ll being writing one section a week and relaunch sometime in august/september. I’m going to do a joint launch with Kenn Schroder. I’ll be using  a lot of strategies from Jeff Walker’s book «Launch».

 

Developing a new service offer

Continue to do research on my new service offering. This way I’ll get a better understanding of what potential clients wants and needs, and the sale will be easier because the service solves their problem. As I get more information I’ll reach out to leads that might benefit from my offer. I’ll only be working with 5-10 clients by my choice, they have to be a good fit. I hope to see some result after the summer and have 2 clients on board.

 

Committing to my local Chamber of Commerce

I have joined my local Chamber of Commerce and I’ll continue going to the monthly meetings to connect with new prospects. I’m not there to sell, but to network with the minimum of one person each time, and grow a list. I’ve set up a intro mail and a 5 day drip email course. I’m going to develop more content for this list, at least 6 months worth of content.

 

Continue to build authority

I’m going to push myself to continue doing Skype calls and connect with other like-minded people and start to record these meetings, and either do a article or video release on some of them to build more authority.

 

Keep working on side-project

The work with the side-project with my partner continues. A lot of what I do now will be quite relevant to the offering in this project. We have a 90 minute bi-weekly meeting to make sure we stay on track.

 

Start to write book #2

After the relaunch I’ll start to work on book number 2 about Roadmapping Session.

 

Reading these books
