It’s all about video
Week 33 of 2015

Man, I’m struggling to keep up with this journal… All my focus this week has been on KISSmedia. It’s feels very right for me. I feel that I focused to much on my book, this journal, articles, etc, that I neglected my own business. Which is essential if I’m going to have time for anything else later on.

I came across a good saying this week too. “Progress is more important than perfection.” And that is something I can identify with.

WEEK 33

I actually got started to make my intro video with a bad ass setup, check  it out!

Not bad huh? But I have to tell you, it takes a lot of time to get it just right, so I only managed to get 1/3 done. I need to spend a whole day on this, but now I know what to do, how to set it up and I’ve written a script as well. Watch the teaser video that I made, sorry for those of you who don’t understand norwegian. But this is for the norwegian market.

I did get a lot of great feedback and when I posted it on Facebook it became my most engaged post ever! So I’m going to do more videos, that’s for sure.

Putting together a email course

I’m working on my email course , but it takes time. It’s a 5 email series on knowing who your customer is and how to learn who they are, so that you can leverage that information on your website to convert more visitors to leads, buying customers, etc. I’ve done 1,5 emails so far. This is what I have broken the emails down to:

  • Listening to your customer
  • Writing compelling copy even if you don’t have an audience
  • Identifying your target audience
  • Creating personas
  • Qualitative surveys

Getting case studies/testimonials

I’m thinking about offering two of my entry offers at a 50% discount to collect some case studies/testimonials that I can use to build trust and authority. I will offer this throughout august and do as many as I can. They are not to time consuming so I shouldn’t have a problem doing this.

A new to-do list app

I’ve been using a great app this past week as well. It’s called Workflowy and I use it as a to-do list, but you can use for much more. This is what they say about it: “WorkFlowy is a beautiful tool for lists and notes. It’s simple enough for a shopping list, and powerful enough to run a company.”

I’ve tried a lot different to-do list apps, but never really found one that’s simple enough, but at the same time powerful enough. It’s free and I recommend checking it out.

Weekly Valuable Share

I love this little video from Troy Dean. He shares how simple it can be for you to become a top influencer in your niche or target market. It so simple that you wonder why you didn’t think of it yourself.

Great setup, Kenneth! I appreciate how you are documenting what you are doing and what you are trying. It’s very useful for other digital marketers.

You’re welcome John. Unfortunately I didn’t manage to keep it up all through the year. But some useful info none the less. 🙂
