Mix Max add-on for Gmail
Week 34-36 of 2015

To sum it all up for the last couple of weeks. My focus has been on KISSmedia, I’m starting to work for an agency part-time, I re-shot the intro video; working on editing, finished a Q&A video, working almost full-time at my regular part-time job, going start building a landing page for my email course to collect leads, I watched “Straight Outta Compton” and I discovered Mix Max, an add-on for Gmail!

WEEK 33-36

I’ve been completely focused on KISSmedia lately. I want to make that part of my business to work. It been really helpful having my mastermind group to bounce ideas and discuss problems with. I know I will more out our session each time, cause it’s new for all of us, but we’re getting more and more comfortable with the whole concept.

So what have I been up to?

I managed to shoot my first Q&A video, it’s already been published. I had this idea that I would do this once every week, but I quickly discovered that I don’t have the time to do that. The most important thing was that I actually did it, and I will make more of them. I also re-shot the intro video and I’ve made a raw edit of it so far. Going to finish it shortly.

Had one meeting during this time, not sure if I got the right vibe, but sent a proposal for about $3K which I would only charge maybe $1K for last year. I also implemented a process for on-boarding new leads. I now send out a initial email with 5 questions than we set up a 30 minute phone call using Troy Dean’s «Go wide, go deep» technique. From there I can write up a proposal.

Here’s the questions I send out based on tips from both Kurt Elster and Kai Davis.

  • What can you tell me about yourself?
  • Why start with this project now and not 6 months ago, or in 6 months?
  • How long have you been doing what you do?
  • What are  your biggest challenges as of right now?
  • How would you have measured if this project was successful?

You only have so much time

And these last couple of weeks my part-time job has been full-time. At the same time I making a transition to work with a agency  part-time. So that’s going to be much more relevant and I will gain more experience as well.

I got a great tip from my mastermind group to make a landing page for my email course. It’s taking my a lot of time to write the course and I need to start collecting emails. By setting up a landing page, which is small task in comparison, I can at least start. And then ship the course when it’s ready.

Disconnect and relax

I grew up listening to rap, hip-hop and punk rock so I had to go to cinema and see the new movie “Straight Outta Compton”. That sure was a trip down memory lane, haha! 🙂 I enjoyed it. Though I wish they would have mentioned more about the solo career of Eazy-E and I didn’t know Eazy-E had such big part in NWA. Watching movies or tv-series is my way of disconnecting and relax. Personally I love Sci-fi, what about you? What do you do to relax or disconnect?

Weekly Valuable Share

I don’t know if you use Gmail for your business, but I sure do. I use to use Outlook, but it was always hopeless to connect different types og email accounts. I would always end up with duplicates, emai being marked as read or something else. But what made my Gmail even better is Mix Max!
