What To Do During Your Live On Social Media

Every time you go Live, whether that’s on Facebook, Instagram, or any other social media platform it’s important that you know what you’re going to talk about. These 5 steps will help you stay on track during your Live and make sure that everything is presented in a way that keeps your audience engaged all the way through.

Hook

Grab their attention! That's the whole purpose of a hook, think of it like it's your headline. Come up with a compelling title that would make someone stop scrolling through their newsfeed and click to watch.

Story

Stories are a great way to pull people into what it is that you are teaching. Try to have a story that ties into whatever you are about to teach. If you don’t have a story, all you need to do is tell a little bit about a question someone may have asked.

The stories don’t have to be big and dramatic but you do need a story to ease your way into the teaching segment.

Teaching Points

Keep your Facebook lives between 10 to 15 minutes long. With this in mind, you should address between 1 to 3 teaching points, no more. You want to really condense the takeaways for people.

Remember that MORE is LESS.

Call To Action

If you have your landing page set up for your workshop (which is your launch). Or, you have a waitlist for your program. You want to be able to tell people about that and send them to it. As you are doing Facebook lives and racking up video views, it’s a bonus to also get more subscribers onto your email list.

Summarize

“Start off by letting them know what you're about to tell them. Then you recap what you just shared with them. In short, you're going to recap what they learned during the Live.
